I've seen a lot of beautiful weddings, but Jessica and Angus's day at Eden Leisure Village was truly something special. From the moment I arrived, the air was filled with joy and anticipation. And let's be honest, a little bit of nervous excitement about the weather!

You see, forecasts were predicting rain, but Jessica and Angus had a secret weapon: a buried sausage! Yes, you read that right. According to an old wives' tale, burying a sausage in your garden will ward off rain on your wedding day. And guess what? It worked! The sun shone brightly, allowing us to capture the most stunning outdoor wedding photography in Scotland.

Eden Leisure Village is an absolutely breathtaking venue. Its rustic charm and natural beauty provided the perfect backdrop for Jessica and Angus's romantic wedding photos. The lush greenery, the charming buildings, and the overall relaxed atmosphere made for a truly unforgettable day.

The ceremony, led by the wonderful Caroline Mortimer, was heartfelt and personal, capturing the essence of Jessica and Angus's love story. It was a beautiful humanist wedding in Scotland, filled with laughter and tears of joy.

Jessica looked absolutely radiant in her gown from Brides in the City Glasgow [@bridesinthecityglasgow]. The dress was a perfect blend of elegance and modern style, complementing her natural beauty. Angus and his groomsmen looked sharp in their suits from Slaters Menswear [@slatermenswear].

The bridal party were styled to perfection. Nicki from Hair Trip by Nicki [@hairtripnicki] created stunning hairstyles, while the talented team at ARK Bridal [@arkbridal] worked their magic with makeup, ensuring everyone looked their absolute best.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing Jessica and Angus's adorable daughter, Francesca, dancing and smiling throughout the celebration. Her infectious joy added an extra layer of magic to the day.

The reception was a blast, with guests enjoying delicious drinks from The Little Margarita Truck [@thelittlemargaritatruck] and dancing to the fantastic tunes spun by Stephen Gilmour of Perfect Playlists [@djstephgee]. [@djstephgee] kept the dancefloor packed all night!

For a unique touch, guests were treated to hilarious caricatures by Edd Travers [@eddsheadscaricatures]. It was a fantastic way to capture the fun and laughter of the day.

Rhona & Colin's Dreamy Dalduff Farm Wedding

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Rhona and Colin at the stunning Dalduff Farm. This was my first time visiting the venue, and I was immediately captivated by its rustic charm and idyllic setting.

Rhona and Colin are such a warm and laid-back couple, and their joy was infectious throughout the entire day. We were blessed with the most incredible weather – sunshine from start to finish! It made for some truly magical photos amidst the beautiful Scottish countryside.

The highlight of the evening, however, was undoubtedly the ceilidh dancing. The energy was electric as guests of all ages got involved, and there was a moment during one of the dances that went viral on TikTok, racking up over 200,000 views! It was a testament to the fun and festive atmosphere that Rhona and Colin created for their special day.

Congratulations to the happy couple! I wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

2024: My Best Year Yet (and now I can say I have Photographed Over 400 Weddings!)

Wow, where do I even begin? 2024 has been an absolute whirlwind, and honestly, the best year yet for my wedding photography. I've had the immense privilege of capturing love stories for nearly a decade now, and to think I've photographed over 50 weddings this year taking my all-time tally to way over 400 weddings shot is mind-blowing.

This year, I've had the pleasure of working with some of the coolest, most laid-back couples imaginable. You know the type: those who know exactly what they want (or, more importantly, don't want!) from their wedding photos. No cheesy poses, no awkward group shots, just genuine moments and authentic reflections of their love.

It's been incredibly rewarding to work with couples who trust my vision and allow me to do what I do best: capture the raw emotion and fleeting magic of their special day. Let's be honest, photographing 400+ weddings has taught me a thing or two. I've learned to navigate the chaos of a first dance, anticipate the perfect tear-jerking moment, and even master the art of wrangling unruly flower girls (seriously, those little ones have superpowers!).

But more than anything, I've learned that every wedding is unique, every couple is different, and every love story deserves its own special spotlight.

So, a massive thank you to all the amazing couples who chose me to document their weddings in 2024. You've made this year unforgettable. Here's to many more years of capturing love, laughter, and maybe even a few unexpected tears.
