A Blockbuster Weekend at Cornhill Castle

This past weekend was an absolute blockbuster for me, as I had the pleasure of photographing the last of my 3 weddings at the stunning Cornhill Castle. And let me tell you, the weather couldn't have been more cooperative! The sun shone brightly the entire day, casting a warm glow over the castle and the happy couple.

Emma and Chris, the beautiful couple tying the knot, were an absolute delight to work with. The love they share for each other was palpable, and it was truly heartwarming to witness the joy they shared with their families. The ceremony was filled with laughter and happy tears, and the reception was a night to remember.

Lucy & Michael: A Twilight City Wedding in Glasgow

Lucy and Michael's wedding seems to be THE wedding everyone's asking me about! Every time I get a new enquiry, I inevitably hear, "We found you from Lucy and Michael's wedding!" Their Instagram post has already racked up over 50,000 views, which is absolutely mind-blowing.

Let me tell you more about their stunning Twilight City Wedding at The Citation in Glasgow.

Initially, they weren't even planning to hire a photographer. However, after a recommendation from their friend Karly O'Neill (an incredible makeup artist who knows my sister!), they booked myself and videographer Ross from RMH Productions for 4 hours in late September 2023.

The weather forecast wasn't promising – windy and drizzly, with little hope of outdoor photos. But when Michael arrived with his groomsmen looking like a Bond film in their sharp tuxedos, and Lucy emerged looking like she'd stepped off a Parisian runway, I knew it was going to be special.

The ceremony was officiated by one of my all-time favorite celebrants, Rachel Heys, who always brings a unique blend of humor and warmth to every wedding.

Convincing the couple to venture outside for photos took a little persuasion. We grabbed an umbrella just in case, but within five minutes, it was tossed aside as we made our way towards the City Chambers. In the end, we were outside for maybe ten minutes, proving that you don't need to be away from your guests for long to capture incredible moments.

These photos are some of my absolute favourites, and I was incredibly fortunate to work with such a beautiful and kind couple like Lucy and Michael.

Samantha and Fionnlagh have been together forever. I mean, literally forever - since they were teenagers in fact! When I met them initially we did probably my all time favourite engagement shoot in the Botanical Gardens the year prior and despite it being a wee bit rainy still got some iconic images. Have a wee look at their previous shoot - a belter!

Anyway, they got married in the wonderful Fruin Farm up in Helensburgh mainly cause of Samantha's love of animals. You have sheep, llamas and cows - everywhere. It didn't stop the couple from jumping the fence in their wedding gear to get some photos with them - true champs! Again we were troubled by the rain but they said screw it and spent most of the day outside. I mean, if you're going to wear your wedding outfits the once, make sure it is definitely the once! (or get it dry cleaned, the bill is not supplied by me).

So what else can I say about these two? Laid back - check. DGAF attitude - check. Braw food and music - check. All the goings for a perfect wedding day I say.

Love Conquers All (Even the Scottish Weather!)

Yesterday, we witnessed the most heartwarming wedding of Stephanie and Christopher at the breathtaking Brig o' Doon House Hotel. Let's just say, the Scottish weather decided to put on a show, but these two lovebirds and their incredible team of suppliers proved that love truly conquers all!

Despite some initial rain clouds, we persevered and were eventually rewarded with stunning clear skies, creating the perfect backdrop for their magical celebration.
