Who? : Leanne + Andy
Where? : House for An Art Lover, Dumbreck
When? : 12th of September 2021
It's great to be back at the House for An Art Lover - one of my fav venues in the whole of Scotland. It's tucked away just behind Bellahouston Park in between a ski sloop and the now in-famous slushy bar - Tubbies. Despite it being just off the main road and close to the M8 Motorway, you would think it would be a place that would be so booming with cars and vans, which is not the case as hidden in the trees of Bellahouston Park is the venue itself.
Leanne and Andy originally booked me back in 2018 with plans to be wedding in 2020 and like so many couples had to rearrange. Their originally venue was the Golden Jubilee Hospital, but vouched to have a bigger day at the world famous Mackintosh building. It was one of those perfect days for weather where the sun was out but it was still warm enough to roam the outside without being too cold.
The morning took place inside the venue in one of the upstairs meeting rooms where Leanne's dress was getting steamed by Don't Stress The Dress who was on hand to help sort out everyone's outfits, jewellery and shoes - a class act who helped sort out some shots for me.
The humanist ceremony itself was conducted by the charismatic and charming Alan Barr who was on hand to keep the room energised and write such a lovely and personal tribute to Andy and Leanne.
After the ceremony we wandered around the beautiful grounds of the venue by heading to the lovely and pristine walled garden, and then round to Bellahouston Park itself near the Copper Elephant.
The evening party got started and everyone was on full form and I'm sure the party didn't stop even long after I left.
Many thanks and congratulations to Leanne and Andy!
