Eilish & Lewis: A Whirlwind City Wedding

Congratulations to the newlyweds, Eilish and Lewis! These two lovebirds tied the knot in a truly unique and intimate ceremony at the historic 1599 at the Royal College.

As a photographer, I always relish the opportunity to capture city weddings. There's a certain vibrancy and energy that you just can't replicate elsewhere. And Eilish and Lewis's wedding was no exception.

They opted for a small, intimate gathering with their closest family and friends, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. After the ceremony, we embarked on a whirlwind tour of the city, revisiting special spots that held significance for the couple. One of the highlights was a stop at 13th Note on King Street, the very bar where their love story began.

The Engine Works in Glasgow might be in my top 3 places for a wedding. The once neglected and disused steelwork building just seems to attract the coolest of people to get married in. Every since it open in 2019, it's hosted hundreds of weddings since and it's fast becoming one of the best venues in the whole of Scotland.

Heather and Euan were one of the sweetest and kindest couples to work with and their wedding day was so personal to them with the inclusion of plants, snakes and country music. Heather's veil was extra special as it contained fabric from her mums wedding dress. When I entered her mum's house could see how important family was to her with all the proud portraits of Heather on her walls of achievements and memories.

Probably one of the silliest photos I had taken in a while was the photo of Taylor Swift playing on the tv while Heather's dad's kilt is hung up hiding her face. Don't think Taylor would have liked that!

And to top that off, there was an animal man! Yes a man with animals. There was snakes, rabbits, insects and lizards. Don't think I've seen a bride nail the famous Britney VMAs performance with the snake round her neck before!

Seriously one of those weddings I won't forget about in a hurry.

Lauren & John's Fairytale at Cornhill Castle: Smiles That Lit Up Biggar!

Friday at Cornhill Castle was nothing short of magical, and I was absolutely thrilled to capture every joyful moment of Lauren and John's wedding day. From the moment Lauren stepped into the stunning surroundings, her smile was absolutely radiant – and honestly, it didn't leave her face all day!

Cornhill Castle, with its timeless elegance and breathtaking views, provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. Despite the unpredictable Scottish weather playing its usual tricks, we managed to sneak outside for some gorgeous shots, capturing the romance and pure happiness that filled the air. It's always a pleasure to work at Cornhill Castle, and Lauren and John's wedding was a testament to why it's such a sought-after venue.

The day was a seamless blend of heartfelt moments and lively celebrations, thanks in no small part to the incredible team of suppliers who brought their A-game. It's always a joy to collaborate with such talented professionals, and together, we created a truly unforgettable experience for Lauren, John, and their guests.
