Lucy and Michael's day seems to be that one wedding everyone wants to ask me about. Whenever I get an enquiry the last while, I will often receive a message saying they found me from this wedding and their post has already garnered over 50k views on my instagram which is absolutely insane. So let me tell you more about their Twilight City Wedding at the Citation in Glasgow.
Initially, they weren't even going to get a photographer, but after being recommended to them by their friend Karly ONeill - a wonderful make-up artist who knows my sister - they booked myself and videographer Ross from RMH Productions for 4 hours in late September 2023.
The weather wasn't looking too great; very windy and drizzly, and not looking like we were going to get outside at all for photos. When Michael arrived, he had all his guys all dressed in slick tuxedos looking like James Bond and when Lucy arrived she looked like she had just stepped off of a Paris runway.
The ceremony was conducted by one of my all time favourite celebrants, Rachel Heys, who always brings light and laughter with her quirky humour to every ceremony.
There was a little bit of convincing to get outside for some photos, and just to be safe we brought a brolly but within 5 minutes that was thrown away and we were making our way over the City Chambers. Just to note, we were outside for maybe less than 10 minutes to get all these shots, so you really don't need to be away from your guests for that long to get some amazing captures. These might go down as some of my all time favourite photos and I was so lucky to have such a beautiful and kind couple like Lucy and Michael to be be my models for the day.
