Love in the Midst of the Market: Andrea & Sam's Unforgettable Wedding

The city was buzzing. The vibrant Hong Kong Street Market was in full swing at the Barras, creating a lively atmosphere that spilled onto the streets. Amidst this vibrant chaos, Andrea and Sam chose to celebrate their love, exchanging vows at the charming Saint Luke's & The Winged Ox.

Their decision to embrace the energy of the city on their wedding day resulted in truly unique and unforgettable photographs. The bustling market backdrop added a layer of unexpected dynamism to their wedding portraits, capturing the spirit of their adventurous spirits.

As the photographer, I was captivated by the sheer energy and vibrancy of the day. The juxtaposition of the intimate ceremony at Saint Luke's with the lively market atmosphere created a truly unique and unforgettable backdrop for their wedding story.

Some of the images I captured that day are among my absolute favourites. The sheer joy and love radiating from Andrea and Sam, coupled with the dynamic energy of the surrounding city, created a visual narrative that is both intimate and exhilarating.

Michelle started her morning getting ready with her besties at the Ingliston Country Club before being whisked in a classic car to the venue to meet her man.

The ceremony was conducted by the lovely Hazel from Humanist Haze who introduced us to a an old German wedding tradition - ‘cut-out heart race’. Which involved the couple in a race to cut out their half of a heart shape, drawn onto a bed sheet. Their wedding party held the sheet as Michelle raced through her half way ahead of Alex - who proceeded to finish his section by doing his best Hulk Hogan impression and tearing the sheet!

We have a chilly afternoon outside the venue but that didn't stop the newlyweds from grasping each other tight and embracing every chance they got. They win the award for the most kissing ever at a wedding. A pair that are clearly besotted with each other which made my job mega easy!

We went to all the usual spots at Boclair - the band stand, the iconic stair case and those grand steps to get some of my fave shots I've taken there. But the pièces de résistance has to be the night-time shots we got. The fairy lights surrounding the venue make for some epic shots.

Loch Lomond Magic: A Sunny September Wedding

This September, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the wedding of Taylor and Ross, a couple who chose the stunning backdrop of Loch Lomond for their special day. And what a day it was! The sun was shining, the views were breathtaking, and the atmosphere was electric. I honestly think I applied more SPF that day than I have in years!

The ceremony, conducted by the incredibly talented and witty Paul Browett of The Scottish Celebrant, was a highlight. Paul, as always, delivered a ceremony that was both heartfelt and hilarious, leaving everyone in stitches.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this was going to be a truly unforgettable wedding. The details were exquisite, thanks to the talented team at Little Petals who created the most beautiful floral arrangements. The elegant arch provided by White House Weddings & Events was the perfect frame for the happy couple as they exchanged vows.

And let's not forget the entertainment! Robin Hay, the Scottish Piper, added a touch of traditional Scottish charm to the proceedings, while Arrow Productions captured every magical moment on film.

A huge thank you to Taylor and Ross for inviting me to be a part of their incredible day. It was an absolute honour to document their love story against the stunning backdrop of Loch Lomond.

Summer Wedding at Glenbervie House

Summer finally arrived, and it was the perfect backdrop for this stunning wedding at Glenbervie House. This was my second time at this incredible venue, and it's quickly becoming a favorite. The interior is breathtaking, and the surrounding countryside offers endless photo opportunities.

I started the day with Stacey and her girls at a luxurious hotel suite just a short drive from the venue. Their private quarters were conveniently located near Alister, who was staying in the next house.

The couple was blessed with glorious sunshine, allowing them to have their ceremony outdoors. Celebrant Alan Barr conducted a heartwarming ceremony that had everyone laughing.

After the ceremony, Stacey and her bridesmaids retreated to the honeymoon suite for a touch-up. This was a brilliant idea and a great way to relax after the ceremony without feeling overwhelmed.

With the perfect weather, we took full advantage of the grounds for some iconic photos. I also experimented with an aerosol spray can for some atmospheric effects, and I'm incredibly happy with the results.

Before we knew it, the day was over. Another amazing wedding in the books! Thank you to Stacey and Alister for being such a wonderful couple.
