On an exceptionally rare occasion, Scotland enjoyed a gorgeous day in February for the celebration of Maria and Martin's union. I was joined by videographer Ross from RMH Productions to document the bridal prep for Maria at her mother's house. Everyone was filled with joy and anticipation for Maria, including her equally enthusiastic sister Beth who spent some time documenting the morning with her disposable camera and giving me a run for my money.
The couple celebrated their wedding at St Mary's RC Church in Hamilton, led by the relaxed and easygoing Father O'Brien. After a brief concern about the missing bus (it was at the other church down the road), guests were transported to Boclair House for a champagne reception accompanied by a violinist from The Capella String Quartet. The newlyweds took advantage of the beautiful staircase and unique art deco design for their couple's photos.
As the temperature dropped, Maria put on her cozy bolero to stay warm, allowing us to continue our outdoor photo session. We captured some truly stunning shots of the couple against the picturesque backdrop of the venue's exterior. The setting provided a breathtaking atmosphere for the photographs, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect location.
The newlyweds looked radiant as they took to the dance floor for their first dance. Maria's white dress flowed elegantly as Martin held her close. They swayed to the music, lost in the moment, as their family and friends looked on.
As the night wore on, the party kicked into high gear. The DJ played all the crowd-pleasers, and the dance floor was packed with guests showing off their best moves. Maria and Martin joined in, laughing and spinning around to the beat.
The celebration was filled with joy and love, and everyone could feel the strong bond between Maria and Martin. It was clear that Maria and Martin's wedding was a true reflection of their love and commitment to one another. The memories of this joyous occasion would last a lifetime.

It's very rare you get to work so soon after the new year...and on the 2nd of January I was out the door and into the crazy world of Lauren and Kevin. In the morning, the sun was splitting the trees but it was just that wee bit cold that there was grit on the roads. When I arrived in the morning for Lauren's preparations, they were already in full swing with all banging tunes and filling up on prosecco every couple of minutes. One of my favourite memories was Lauren getting her dress on and then shouting 'get some Lizzo on!' (I don't think I stopped listening to her album Special for about 2 months after tbh).
Boclair House itself is situated just 15 minutes from Glasgow City Centre, so it didn't take too long to hurry to capture Kevin arriving with all his family. One thing I love about Boclair is it's not far from where I stay and also it's right beside a big Asda to get your shop after. I'm sad that I've got my full shop there every time I've been there (I collect the reward points, ok?)
Lauren and Kevin didn't have any typical ceremony: they had one that was completely suited to them and their fun personalities which was hosted by Paul Browett - the dude with the twirly moustache - and he told us of their incredible story together. Seriously who has their aisle song as WAP by Cardi B and Megan THEE Stallion? Them. Iconic behaviour. Finally a song I know well played at a wedding. If you don't know that song, I wouldn't recommend playing it in public.
We headed outside and the sun was just about to set and we got a gorgeous golden hour for the last light of the day. Something you don't get to see straight after Christmas.
Honestly such an incredible wedding to start off the new year.
