I recently had the pleasure of shooting Larry + Beca’s wedding at the very popular, Lochside House Hotel and we had a smasher of the day.
We had met originally for a pre-wedding shoot at the UK’s second prettiest town according to the Telegraph, South Queensferry. We had a wee hour walk up and down the cobbles to the Forth Bridge before heading back through the beach, so the pair definitely got their photo nerves out the way.
The morning of the wedding I arrived to see Beca in her rollers with all her girls around her. It was a cool and chilled morning and I don’t think there was a bit of nerves in the whole room.
I ventured to the newly fitted log cabins at the entrance of Lochside. There was a row of finely fitted cabins which contained all the groom party who were all decked out in their best kilts.
Just before Beca and her girls headed up the aisle, there was an emergency meeting…which was not really a meeting, more like an emergency shot of Tequila Rose. A necessity before getting wed!
The ceremony itself was conducted by the ever loveable Caroline Mortimer, who retold the story of how the duo got together.
After the ceremony, Larry and Beca had a wee 10 minutes cool off outside by themselves while I lined up all the guests for the confetti shot. Luckily we had a good gust of wind to make that shot look even more dramatic.
The couple shared their day with friends and family, playing beer pong, retelling stories and dancing to Shania Twain.
At night, I was asked to stay a wee bit longer than I normally would to capture Crookysax filling the party with even more adrenaline as he performed floor-to-floor club classic bangers, and I’m sure people didn’t stay off the dance floor long after I had left.
